Celery

BULL TERRIER
3 YEARS OLD
MEDIUM, 35LBS
FEMALE

Meet Celery. Celery joined our program from Laredo, Texas via our second Dog Is My Copilot (DIMC) flight of the year! We are so thankful that DIMC facilitates these transports because without them these dogs truly could have a different fate. We love helping our dear partners in Laredo whenever we can as they unfortunately have to euthanize for space and many other reasons. With these transports we are working towards decreasing those outcomes!

Celery is great with other dogs. She has been nonstop playing since she arrived with us. Celery will need 30 days of doxyclycline to resolve her tickborne illnesses (Ehrlichia/Anaplasmosis) and will be provided by the AAC. This will not be a lasting medical condition. We also found out from her fosters that she is deaf. Celery will need someone that is willing to take this on! She is a sweet girl who is crate-trained and good with dogs and kids (probably too much for cast)!

Cochleosaccular is the most common cause of deafness and is associated with coat color patterns, often when dogs are all white. It is usually seen in dogs with the piebald color genes or merle color gene. It can cause deafness in either one or both ears and is seen more in association with blue eyes and a white coat.

ADOPTION FEE
$225

  • Fill out a dog adoption application. We form our line based on who has an active application in with us.
  • Foster the dog locally for at least one night prior to adopting.
  • Proceed with adoption after all references/landlords have been contacted and overall application have been approved. Adoption fee is $225 which includes the spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations and routine care during their stay here. If you are an out of state adopter, we cannot guarantee vaccinations to be included in the adoption fee.

Please note, Animal Adoption Center cannot guarantee the breed, composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have no history prior to them entering the rescue. We make every effort to ensure the dogs are healthy. Our intention is to insure long lasting committed homes for the animals at the AAC. If we feel that an animal and a potential owner are not a good fit we reserve the right to refuse adoption.
