Sweetie Pie

Meet Sweetie Pie, he is a staff favorite and has so much potential to be the BEST companion. He is a middle aged, medium-large size dog who is looking for a more specific home. Although he needs a home with no other animals we promise his personality will make up for it. He is also a strong dog and is working on his training so he will be best in a home without small children. Sweetie Pie is overall very low maintenance. He walks well on a leash, doesn’t need a ton of exercise and is perfectly happy hanging out on the couch. He is completely muzzle trained and will come with his own custom muzzle and vouchers to use for private training. Please reach out to the AAC team and we can chat in further detail about what his perfect home looks like! A note from one of his long-term fosters:

“My husband and I began fostering Sweetie Pie in late February this year and had the heart warming experience of life with him for about 6 weeks before we left Jackson for the Spring. When I tell you that his name fits him like a T, I really mean it.

He is such a lovey dovey pup, with personality plus. He has one ear that flips to one side that give him so much character . Sweetie Pie has more confidence in him that any other dog I have ever known, feeling completely comfortable wherever we took him and with whomever he came into contact with. And does that boy ever like to go for walks! He would often walk 10 miles a day with us , and would go more if we had the energy ( and time ). Sweetie Pie will make any family very happy, fitting in and enjoying life.”

  • Fill out a dog adoption application. We form our line based on who has an active application in with us.
  • Foster the dog locally for at least one night prior to adopting.
  • Proceed with adoption after all references/landlords have been contacted and overall application have been approved. Adoption fee is $225 which includes the spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations and routine care during their stay here. If you are an out of state adopter, we cannot guarantee vaccinations to be included in the adoption fee.

Please note, Animal Adoption Center cannot guarantee the breed, composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have no history prior to them entering the rescue. We make every effort to ensure the dogs are healthy. Our intention is to insure long lasting committed homes for the animals at the AAC. If we feel that an animal and a potential owner are not a good fit we reserve the right to refuse adoption.
