Adoption Counselor (Full-time)
The Animal Adoption Center (AAC) is a 501c(3) nonprofit dedicated to saving the lives of homeless animals through rescue, adoption, education, and spay/neuter. The Adoption Counselor plays a key role in the AAC’s life saving mission. This person will work in collaboration with the Adoption Counselor Team and report to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities include collaborating with regional shelters to select animals, assisting potential adopters in finding their next pet, and processing adoption paperwork. The role also involves caring for our animals, scheduling dog fosters, maintaining a clean AAC facility, and communicating with people via phone, email, and in person. In support of the AAC’s spay/neuter work, this person will travel to the Wind River Indian Reservation two times per year to assist with free clinics.

Special Event and Spay/ Neuter Coordinator (Part-time)
The Animal Adoption Center (AAC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to saving the lives of homeless animals through rescue, adoption, education, and spay/neuter initiatives. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Special Events and Spay/Neuter Coordinator to join our team and play a vital role in advancing AAC’s life-saving mission.
This position involves close collaboration with the Executive Director, Adoption Team, and Event Committee to plan, organize, promote, and execute our key events, including the annual New Leash On Life fundraiser held each July. In addition to event coordination, the role also supports AAC’s development efforts, contributing to tasks such as gift entry, generating tax receipts, assisting with the Old Bill’s Fun Run campaign, and reviewing grant proposals. A significant portion of the role will focus on our statewide spay/neuter initiative, working with current partners, managing low-cost voucher coding, and coordinating bi-annual clinics held on the Wind River Reservation.

Schedule: Part-time/year-round position. This person will work 10-20 hours/week with a flexible schedule. Additional hours will be required prior to and following the spring and fall spay/neuter clinics and the New Leash on Life annually held in July.
Cat Care & Building Specialist (Part-time)
The Animal Adoption Center is seeking a part-time employee to maintain Kitty City, care for adoptable cats and up keep the building while supporting a healthy environment for our animals. Ten to fifteen hours a week, Tuesday through Friday mornings.
Position description: Cat Care and Building Specialist is responsible for cleaning Kitty City, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization of the building, assisting with daily animal care and socializing with the cats.
Employee must be able to practice safe animal handling, work independently and collaboratively with the staff. Duties include: socializing and comforting the cats; monitoring behavior and medical needs on daily log; deep cleaning cat areas; preparing food and feeding cats and kittens; assisting with dishes; scrubbing litter pans; assisting with laundry; organizing donations and equipment; and sweeping, mopping and steaming. Must have a sense of humor, love for animals, and a high attention to detail. Experience with animals preferred but not required.
Shifts: (times are flexible but work needs to be completed by 12pm daily)
Tuesday: Two-Three Hours AM
Wednesday: Two-Three Hours AM
Thursday: Two-Three Hours AM
Friday: Two-Three Hours AM
