Midnight at the Shelter

Midnight at the Shelter is a fictionalized version of the partnership between Jackson Animal Hospital’s founder, Dr. Heather Carleton, who is a former Board member and generous supporter of the Animal Adoption Center, and her beloved three-legged dog, MahDi. The story is told through MahDi’s point of view and tells of the different situations that bring animals into a shelter through no fault of their own, and how, in MahDi’s words, “There are always shelter dogs looking for new families, and there are plenty of humans who need them. Sometimes they just don’t know it yet.” Every copy of Midnight at the Shelter that is purchased helps support animal shelters.
